Further Awareness of Managing Difficult Conversations
The aim of this course is that by the end of it, you will understand a number of different aspects of managing difficult conversations, particularly focusing on an educational setting. This is a useful skill to develop as there are always going to be times in both our personal and professional lives that are challenging where difficult conversations will be required.

This course will enable you to feel more confident about having those conversations you have perhaps been avoiding. Managing difficult conversations is a useful skill to develop as there are always going to be times, in both our personal and professional capacities, which are challenging, and difficult conversations need to be had.

Within our personal lives, the way we handle these situations can really impact our relationships and their success. If we don’t learn these skills, we also run the risk of not feeling able to tackle more sensitive subjects within the workplace. We will also briefly explore the impact of stressful and difficult situations and conversations on our well-being and use this self-awareness to manage our emotional and physical responses
Course content
This course is separated into three modules of learning:
Module One: What Makes a Conversation Difficult?
In this module, we will be looking at what makes conversations difficult and how we respond to them.
Module Two: Learn New Strategies
Within this module, we will learn all about different strategies we can use to our advantage to help us with managing difficult conversations.
Module Three: How to Change Our Mindset and Understanding
In this final module, we are going to look at how to be aware of our approach towards a person and a conversation and understand what is happening for us emotionally and physically.
