This course is designed to introduce the topic of fire marshal training so that employees who work in an educational setting and wish to become fire marshals can understand what the role requires and how it is an important part of the wider fire safety strategy within any workplace.
A workplace environment is defined as any building or location where there are employees or even the self-employed such as factories, schools, hotels, hospitals, contractors working on domestic properties etc. This course is separated into three modules of learning:
Module One: Introduction to Fire SafetyIn this module, we will be looking at some basic concepts about fire and using this knowledge to think about key things that must be considered.
Module Two: What is Required for the Fire Marshal Role?In this module, we will be looking at what a Fire Marshal should be undertaking to complete their role both on a daily basis and during an evacuation procedure.
Module Three: Fire ExtinguishersIn this module, we will look at the different classes of fire along with the five key types of fire extinguishers that are available and those classes of fires to which they are best suited to extinguish.
