This course is designed to provide Early Career teachers with an understanding of what setting high expectations means. We will take a look at the early career framework and what that tells us about setting high expectations and how we translate some of that into reality in the classroom. This session will explore the “learning what” element and the “learning how” element of the early career framework with an effort to unpack what it means both theoretically and practically.

This course is separated into three modules of learning:

Module One: Understanding High Expectations
Build our knowledge and understanding of high expectations according to the standard laid out in the early career framework.

Module Two: Create a Culture of High Expectations
Explores how you can model and create that culture of high expectations within your own context in terms of the culture of a new classroom.

Module Three: Reflection and Further Development of Expectations
Reflect on and develop your own expectations further using three key questions:

- What is going really, really well?
- How do you know that?
- How can you develop those expectations further?

Study time: 60 mins.
