The purpose of this course is to support education professionals who wish to gain more insight into Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, including reference to the causes. It will bring an understanding of the types of ADHD and how to support children in a classroom setting. Similarly, the course will highlight avenues of support and help.
The course is separated into three modules of learning:
Module One: Definition and DiagnosisWe take a look at what ADHD is through a definition and typical diagnosis. We start by looking at one section of the definition known as inattention.
Module Two: Hyperactivity and ImpulsivityWe look at further elements of ADHD behaviour that present themselves, including hyperactivity and impulsivity.
Module Three: Supporting Your Students with ADHDIn this module, we give some starter advice to teachers when it comes to provision for students with ADHD.
