In this course, we will discuss the principles of assessment and explore the different types of assessment. We will also develop the use of questioning and define and use effective feedback.
The course is separated into four modules of learning:
Module One: The Principles of Assessment
In this module, we will explore what assessment actually is and why it is so valuable as well as looking at the statutory assessments that you will encounter when working with pupils up to the age of sixteen.
Module Two: Types of Assessment
In this module, we will explore the common types of assessment that you may draw upon and identify their specific uses.
Module Three: Questioning
In this module, we will explore specific question types and take the opportunity to plan questions to check pupil understanding.
Module Four: Effective Feedback
In this module, we will explore the meaning of effective feedback and identify ways to construct feedback.
